CentOS can’t find the virtual drive with the default settings. for it to work:
- choose linux->other linux 2.6 kernal
- advanced setup
- LSI disc logic
- choose IDE instead of SCSI
Also:
without cd’s use alcohol 120% or something similar because VMWare can’t seem to change images. I saw some people had problems with the emulated clock and I’m sure the power saving features on my laptop won’t help… so we’ll see how that goes.
UPDATE: whatever you do, don’t remove python with yum, because it removes just about everything else you need (including yum). dOh!
